What you’ll learn (each week builds on the last)

  • Centering clay

  • Throwing on the pottery wheel

  • Trimming

  • Glazing your finished pieces

What’s included

  • Clay, studio tools, aprons, and kiln firings

  • Step-by-step, hands-on instruction and individual guidance

  • Up to 10 finished, glazed & fired pieces included in the course fee

  • Additional finished pieces may be kept for $5 each (fee applies per glazed+fired piece)

Class details & schedule

  • Runs 6 consecutive weeks (one class per week)

  • Class size: minimum 5 / maximum 8 (if minimum is not met, we will reschedule you on week prior or issue a full refund)

Attendance & make-ups

  • Consistent attendance is encouraged for skill progression.

  • If you must miss a class, contact us as soon as possible; we’ll try to schedule a make-up when space allows. Please note that make-ups are dependent on studio availability.

Cancellations & refunds

  • Full refund if canceled up to 2 weeks before the first class.

  • No refunds for cancellations less than 2 weeks before start or for no-shows.

  • For illness or emergencies, please contact us by phone or email — we’ll work with you to reschedule when possible.

Studio environment & policies

  • Blondie, our friendly on-site dog, may greet you when you arrive. Please let us know in advance if you have allergies.

  • Photography: Occasional photos or short videos may be taken for Formed by Fire Studio’s website and social media. If you do not wish to appear, please inform the instructor.

  • Please park close together in the driveway to allow space for everyone.

What to wear/bring

  • Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting clay on

  • Short nails are helpful but not required

  • Bring a hair tie if you have long hair
